A lantern glows softly up ahead, clenched in the undead hand of a ghost—or rather, an actor embodying a local ghost. A cluster of tour-goers follows the "ghost" and his lantern through streets, and alleyways as he reveals the tragedies that unfolded in them. "Interview" your tour guide and try to determine if your personalities "click." Ours seemed to be new to the history of Jacksonville and vague in answering some of the group members' questions.
Since one of our group had already been in the tunnel, it was disappointing that we did not walk the entire length of the tunnel - it's much more impressive when you end up somewhere unexpected at the other end. :) Also, if your guide does not wait until the entire group congregates prior to beginning their informative narrative, speak up. Some missed information.
All in all the tour covers some interesting points of interest, and it followed a good route. Locals and out-of-towners alike will learn a lot and will (should) be encouraged by the points of interest to learn more about our City.

Excellent tour for locals and visitors. Susan is wonderful. I love her Austrailian accent. Highly reccomend (unless you have a 13 year old boy with pervasive development disorder and all he wants to do is swim). I will have to keep going back to get a better feel for the area. I couldn't take it all in. Plus, I want to check periodically on their progress in making more tunnels accessible.

This tour was great. The guide was excellent and shared a lot of interesting material about Jacksonville. Three of us really enjoyed the tour.
