The class was great! I took basic sailing, which covered the course material for the ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing certification. After the classroom education and hands-on sailing experience we were all prepared to ace the test. Rick (the owner) and Matthew (our sailboat instructor) were awesome. It was fun and exciting.

Excellent school to take sailing lessons! Most schools make ASA 101 a two day class. True North starts with a 3 hour orientation class, so that you can hit the water first thing on the first full day. Experienced, knowledgeable instructors will have you comfortably handling the sails and the helm.

Amazing experience and so educational. Rick was my instructor. He's a natural teacher, constantly focused on making sure students leave the course with the fundamentals cemented in their minds. He's also a nice guy.

One of the best experience of my life. Rick is an amazing teacher. He makes the theory classes so much fun. His teaching methodology makes sure that all the students are getting ready for the certification exam while learning off and on the boat. I really enjoyed the onboard training. It was so much fun. Learn sailing only at the award winning true north sailing school.

Rick is an experienced instructor. Excellent classroom instruction and exam prep. Well worth the time and money if you're serious about learning to sail.Definitely recommend it!
