Get a kayak or a canoe! Much better experience than on a motor boat.

Bring bugspray and fishing poles! We enjoyed the trip to Billy's island and also ventured out into the swamp on our own. Saw lots of wildlife and found the Okefenokee to be beautiful!

open your blinds early and enjoy your morning coffee while watching deer, turkeys, and maybe a bear or gator.

This is the first Georgia State Park I have visited. We were about the only ones there. Is was peaceful and beautiful. Must rent a boat and take it down the swamp-one of the best times of my life!

Loved it, park staff was friendly. Saw several gators though they never got near the boat. Cabins were well maintained. Plenty of hikes off the water.
