About Wine and Canvas

The artists at Wine and Canvas awaken their students’ inner Rembrandts and Van Goghs with classes that pair a featured painting with specialty cocktails and wines. The mobile studio’s monthly calendar includes themed classes in which instructors expound on the nuances of painting Parisian street lamps, Japanese flowers, or Venetian cityscapes. The master painters—many of them local artists—provide step-by-step instructions while students mimic each stroke and periodically dip their brushes into glasses filled with crimson cabernet. Each of the studio’s various drink-friendly venues boasts a specialty libation selected to incite creativity or conversations with fellow painters. When the artistic frenzy concludes, students return home with a finished masterpiece large enough to conceal any wall safe or mirror portal.

Make sure you dress casually. Listen and pay close attention in order to know and understand what you are doing.

Great for the alternative to the dinner and a movie routine. My girlfriend and I did this to spice up our week night and to share an experience we can enjoy together. We made bets on who was going to have the better artwork....I lost Great decision

The instructor was nice and helpful, but the lady working him was rude and confused. The bartender at Mimi's Cafe was obnoxious and was basically telling us to leave at 8:45pm because they close at 9pm. Terrible venue and disappointing customer service.

The name of the company is misleading- there is no wine. And unlike other "paint as a group" places, these are held at restaurants so you can't bring your own food and drinks. It turned out to be a much more expensive night then we anticipated.
