The Sin City Scare Fair puts a twisted take on the trappings of a wholesome 4H-endorsed outing, with new frights lurking around every hay bale. Two linked haunted houses send guests directly from one to the other, beginning with Nightmares—a hall of horrors designed with input from fans. Next, bad childhood birthday parties spring to life in Coulrophobia, an immersive experience that plays off of every sensible person's fear of clowns. In The Last Ride, fairgoers climb into a used coffin that—through musty smells, eerie sounds, and lining made of ectoplasm—recreates what a trip to the grave might be like.
