About Paul Maynard Photography

Everyone has their own unique story and their own one-of-a-kind personality. Paul Maynard relishes the opportunity to tell that tale and exhibit that personality in pictures. He uses each session to get to know his clients and learn what makes them tick. He doesn't rush shoots and likes to spend one to three hours with each client. Portraits take place outdoors to take advantage of the local flora, fauna, and architecture. He's framed clients against downtown Denver, the Rockies, and Red Rocks Amphitheater––all over the Colorado landscape. It's a profession he's perfected since 1984, having learned manual cameras and film before the digital age. All that hands-on talent and experience goes into portraits of families and grads, as well as weddings and headshots. He also crafts deftly produced "edgy sports" portraits that take on elements of surrealist paintings.
