Had a great time. The deckhands were very helpful, The captain put us on plenty of fish and the cook Earl made some good food. Awesome trip.

The 1/2 day boat on The City of Long Beach was a great experience for some students taken out on their first time...The skipper is very knowledgeable about spots to catch rockfish while "drifting" versus dropping the anchor. Jason, Senior Deckhand, and Justin, Junior Deckhand, were very helpful and patient with unhooking fish and placing them in the gunny sack, untangling lines, splicing, and rig set ups with appropriate sinker weights. Jason came to the rescue with a rental rod when half our reel fell into the ocean depths...an awkward moment.
Earl in the galley was extremely helpful by informing us to quit using cut bait and put on live sardines...That was when the students started to pull in some nice Salmon Groupers, a Johnny Bass, and other misc. rockfish, enough for their families to enjoy a meal of fresh cut fillets from Jason's filleting skills. By the way, Earl whips up a mean breakfast and some great cheeseburgers to eliminate any "hangry" symptoms (You get real hungry out on the ocean.). He even exits to galley to make sure customers' cups of coffee are filled...Now that's service! (Side note: Earl will give you tips on catching fish and what to use if you ask him.) Great time for sure!!! :)

The staff was wonderful. Very helpful, kind, professional. Even the regular fisherman was great. The view was incredible. Saw lots of dolphins. Clean boat. Caught lots of fish. Would definitely recommend and do again.

Had a great time on the City of Long Beach. The captain and crew were awesome very helpful and informative! This was ou second time on a boat. My son was super happy brought 32+ fish home that day!

My fiance and i Had so much fun everything was as it said on tickets purchase. Crew was very helpful and attentive. food and drinks were great at good prices and there was plenty of room , the weather was great cought lots of rock fish. Looking forward to doing it again 😊
