About "Walking the Dead"

Bedlam Ensemble’s collection of local and world-traveling actors, producers, and writers seem to have an unquenchable thirst for creative exploration. But an emphasis on artistry doesn’t preclude accessibility, as they stage seasons that balance newer works such as Neil LaBute’s Reasons to be Pretty with classics including Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. When they aren’t producing inventive dramas and comedies, the Ensemble keeps audiences on their thoroughly tickled toes at the monthly Naturally Delicious improv show. The group’s passion extends beyond the fly rail—a nonprofit company themselves, the members also worked to keep Edgar Allen Poe’s house open to the public by donating proceeds from their 2011 production of The Delirium of Edgar Allen Poe.
