About The Joy of Swimming

The Joy of Swimming’s friendly instructors have been teaching students of all ages and skill levels to safely explore watery terrains for more than 20 years. They hold swimming lessons at their clients’ homes or their own pool—which is always heated to a comfortable 88–90 degrees—teaching small groups of students to backstroke and shake themselves dry without towels. These motivating and patient instructors also teach students with special needs to safely blaze watery trails. Trained by The Joy of Swimming’s owner—an early interventionist and educator who has years of experience in teaching these students—instructors deploy easy-to-grasp learning strategies and techniques that help them forge healthy relationships with their wards.
