From a young age, Acupuncture and Wellness Center’s licensed acupuncturist and specialist in Chinese medicine, Li Hua Shu, TCMD, was indoctrinated into the world of holistic healing by his grandfather, a well-known Chinese medicine doctor and acupuncturist in his hometown in China. For the past 19 years, Dr. Shu has treated patients afflicted with a variety of symptoms, from asthma and eczema to skin panicking at the thought of kissing needles. Helping bring the body, mind, and spirit into balance, Dr. Shu seeks the root of symptoms and treats ailments with gentle acupuncture sessions, herbology, and oriental medicine. He also demonstrates his healing skills during Tui Na treatments, a Chinese medical therapy that can be combined with acupuncture to help loosen dormant Qi while reducing stress with massage strokes and acupressure techniques.
