Martinez Gun Club—which was founded in 1883—is a place of tradition. To wit, every Wednesday evening, parents and their kids flock to the club for Family Night. Everyone shoots a few clay pigeons, before they retire to the air-conditioned clubhouse, which features a wooden-beamed ceiling, brick fireplace, and flatscreen televisions. Here, Chef Mindy prepares a meal and bartenders serve drinks to the older crowd. In addition to these dinners, the club regularly hosts special shooting events on weekends.Recommended For You

We had an amazing time at the Martinez gun club. Beautiful grounds, welcoming environment. Blake was very patient and thorough. I haven’t shot a shot gun since I was 10 years old and actually was able to hit a few clays. I’d highly recommend Blake and the MTZ gun club. You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome experience! Booking was easy on their website. Blake was our instructor and was super knowledgeable, helpful, and patient! Everyone we spoke with at the club was very friendly. They put a lot of attention on safety which gives you peace of mind that it’s about good sportsmanship and is family friendly.

We had a terrific time taking this lesson with Blake. He is the perfect instructor for newbies. None of us had ever shot a rifle. Blake tailored his teaching to each of us and we felt really comfortable at the club and with Blake. We would definitely do it again and strongly encourage anyone who is interested to check it out, even if like us, you're not familiar with or experienced using guns. Thanks, Blake!
