It was fine. It was different than what I had expected but was still worthwhile and my party enjoyed... plus, we made new friends with another group! The owner is a really nice guy who knows A LOT about everything paranormal... you'll find yourself taking notes on things you want to research at a later time! I'd recommend it.

They might want to state that there is a great amount of moving up and down steps that don't have hand rails. Some people might not be able to do this.

The zombie 5k, organized by the Haunted Cottage was a bad experience. The event didn't deliver on what was promised (medals, man-made obstacles, racing bibs, and life flags). The roads weren't even closed (zombies were chasing people into oncoming traffic). The organizer's expenses for this race were definitely minimal. Apparently, the race distance wasn't even 5k. The event could be good some day, but this was a very event.

The actual event was nothing like what was described. It bordered on a scam. The 5K run was 20% short on distance and none of the entertaining parts of the Zombie Run actually existed. The Haunted Cottage is not even a registered business organization in West Virginia.
