FUN place with LOTS to do. The staff was very friendly!
Called to make reservation the weekend of the christian concert, was told our reservations were made. Double checked the website to confirm the date of the concert. We camped over the weekend and no concert was held. The information hand-out that we received at check-in made no mention of the concert. Family was disappointed. I would have chose a different week if I had known in advance that there was not going to be a concert.
If the weather is bad you can swim in the indoor pool. The staff are very helpful.
Good time! Ask for desired type of site upon arrival, but new sure to verify where they take you. Non-festival weekend a relaxing time. Golf cart rental pricey but park is large. Life vests required in swim lake but are provided.
Be clear about where available sites are. Get there early to find a fire ring.
Everyone is friendly... A perfect family fun place! A restaurant and a few bars with kids welcome and you can golf cart around. Clean lake water park !
Just a reminder, primitive camping means you have nothing - no table, fire pit, water, electricity, etc. Bathrooms were decent, but be sure to bring flip flops for showering. Also, the biggest tip I have, throw away all garbage in a dumpster and enclose all food prior to going to sleep. Raccoons tore our trash bags apart, and spread trash everywhere!
All and all, this is a decent campground for the price.
Clean facilities a lot for everyone to do
We had a wonderful time at the resort, and I can't wait to go back and spend more time there!
Good place for a family... we had a lot of fun, however, with a few updates it would be a great place: all sites (no matter if they're primitive or electric) should have a fire ring and a picnic table... it's embarrassing to see hundreds of picnic tables stacked up with no one using them and my family eating on the ground because we can't borrow one. I would come back and recommend Clay's Park to my friends and family if each site had these basic amenities. Also, who has an indoor pool that's not heated? How is it ever going to get warm without the heat of the sun, since it's indoor. Why even have an indoor pool if it's too cold to swim in... what's the point?
