Ronnie's reassuring demeanor relaxes subjects into natural poses— whether he's handing a toddler a favorite toy instead of a boring prop, or calming a yapping dog with a bone that tastes like a mailman's slacks. The resulting prints of families, kids, high-school seniors, or beloved pets take on an almost dream-like state, enhanced by digital effects such as text or oil painting. Shoots take place at his studio, which was built in 1899. Antique furniture and props still dot the interior, as do rustic fireplaces and a front porch that lends a visual glimpse of a more relaxing era.
