Licensed cosmetologist Kathryn Mancarella prefers to work in a nontoxic environment. She has been caring for nails for 23 years, and now leads the team at Kathrynz Kreationz in beautifying fingers and toes with eco-friendly products. Mancarella specializes in custom crafting natural resin LCN nails, a nontoxic line whose advantages include resistance to yellowing, water, household chemicals, and high-fives that are not heartfelt. The earth-conscious studio also employs vegan and formaldehyde-free nail lacquers by SpaRitual, and offers an array of organic products, including lotions, laundry powder, and soaps.

After a chemical-free manicure or pedicure, an on-staff massage therapist can further loosen muscles with reflexology or deep-tissue techniques. The cozy studio—which also includes a clothing boutique—is defined by wooden floors, animal-print accent rugs and art, and a rear-facing view of a tranquil lake with verdant trees.
