When Jamie Hayhurst does a photo shoot, she strives to snap fun, candid, and original shots before burning each image onto a CD and presenting it to her clients. To give her subjects as many options as possible, she only deletes photos with accidental blinks, bad lighting, and intrusive sasquatches. The shutterbug does most of her memory-catching outdoors or in her clients' homes, where she snaps portraits of seniors, moms-to-be, families, ceremonies, and kids. Her portfolio often features spontaneous smiles backdropped by scenic lakes, fields, and babbling brooks with bright-green grass or fall colors, depending on the time of year. Dutch tilts add dynamic compositions to her shots, which she renders in black and white, color, or warm sepia tones.
