About Saga Hill Cooking & Events

When she’s not hosting radio shows, serving meals at local shelters, or blogging for Minneapolis St. Paul magazine's Foodie File, Le Cordon Bleu–trained chef Marianne Miller helms Saga Hill Cooking & Events. She describes her style as "audacious, yet feminine," adding, "my preparations are often bold, but with a light-handed approach that brings out the natural flavors in each dish." Alongside her staff, she leads culinary classes and parties that shy from incorporating fad kitchen gadgets or diets. Instead, their goal is to teach practical, science-based cooking techniques that can help students prepare simple meals, gourmet treats, or decadent brown-bag lunches.

Was surprised at the additional $15.00 per person charge for unlimited wine. Very informal, food tasty, owner very entertaining, work in groups of about 6. All in all a fun night, fun people at our table. I would probably go again some time, depending on the menu. If you have been to classes anywhere before, this will not be your more structured class.

We had a great time. There were a lot of nice people and the atmosphere was fun. The only two comments we have to improve are: please make guests aware when it is that warm that you do not have a/c running prior to their arrival, this way they can dress appropriately. Also, it is kind to have a check-in period of time in the beginning, but we feel 10 minutes would suffice. It drags on the beginning when people are most excited to start. Overall, it was a good experience. Thanks!
