The class was more than I expected. Everyone I have talked to could not believe the 2nd day range time we had with additional instructions beyond the usual CCL classes out there. Jonathan was a true professional and you cannot beat his experience he brings to this class. It was informative, fun, and learned a lot from his instructions. Contego Defense Group is the way to go with CCL class.
Amazing...I had never even held a gun prior to this class and by the end of the weekend I was more knowledgeable on how to use a gun safely and defend myself if need be. John was a great instructor and you can tell he was there for more than just money but he truly wants everyone to learn gun safety. I highly recommend Contego Defense Group.

This class was AWESOME!!! In two days I learned A LOT and was able to improve the use of my weapon so much. Jonathan was our instructor and he was very nice, knowledgeable, and very serious about making sure we understood the weight and responsibility of owning a gun and using it. He even took it a step further and taught us defensive tactics for real life situations. Can’t say enough good things!
Jonathan's instruction methods were second to none. Very matter of fact and a reason for everything. Small classes and a great deal of one on one training. Would highly recommend to anyone applying for a CCL or hand gun training.
So grateful that I took this course. As a beginner firearms user, I was so impressed by the hands on instruction we received both in the classroom and in the gun range. I did some research and found that all other CCL classes do not offer any kind of practice time in the range prior to taking the test. I passed the test with 30 out of 30! The instructors are amazingly at explaining every possible situation, answering questions and giving insight on the things that you could encounter, laws and handling care. They go above and beyond the things that are required. I highly recommend anyone to take their CCL with Contego Defense Group!
Great company, they teach very well. At the beginning of the range portion, my gf could not for the target, but at the end of the session, she was able to hit 30/30. Thank you Jonathan and Dave for the great class
Great class - highly recommend for any skill level. John and David provide a lot of insight and experience that helps you beyond the CCL test. The class is informative and hands-on, helping you prepare for concealed carrying.
