The experience was fabulous. Skydive Monroe feels like a club of skydiving enthusiasts who create a atmosphere of fun while being very serious about safety and proffessional about teachng the proper technique. For a first solo jump, count 5.5 to 6 hour instructions, but it is absolutely worth it! The risk? You might just get hooked on skydiving! Alternative to solo jump is to go in tandem, much less time spent training and your jump will start from much farther above in the sky, but of course you do not steer your parachute. Anyhow, if you are considering a try at skydiving in GA, I highly recommend Skydive Monroe. I will return there

We had a wonderful time! The people were great, very nice and helpful. The training was really good and the jump was exhilarating! One recommendation is that they have their contract redone. They have completely unenforceable clauses such as signing away your constitutional right to a trial by jury and it literally says the contract is designed so you will never be able to win. Thankfully these guys do a good job so hopefully they will never have to go to court, but they need to get another lawyer.
Skydive Monroe rocks! Insructor was Josh, and he was great. Just went back for another two skydives. The operation is professional and safe, but the best part is that the instructors and owner are people you would want to hang out with. They treat you like they really want you to be there. Thanks Skydive Monroe for making the experience great, and for adding a new dynamic to my life.

We upgraded our coupon once we got there. The coupon we originally purchased was for a quick "Hop and Pop" from 4,000 feet. Once we got there, we used our coupon and upgraded, for an additional cost, and did an Instructor Assisted Freefall from 14,000 feet which was totally awesome. We are returning on the 11th and will participate in the Accelerated Freefall Program. We had to sit through a 4-5 hour class but our instructor, Russell, was highly knowledgeable and extremely proficient and the information put out was definitely worth it. No more tandem jumps for me. It's on and popping now!
