The music was great at this event, good beer....you can tell it was the 1st year but also Iwalked away knowing that it will get better organized & more polished every year. This could be the next big event for Monterey.
The layout could be better . Food in a couple of places along the walkway, instead of one place..
Overall it was a very good experience. Only complaints I have is that one worker (not a server) was rude and I was also hoping for more of a variety in types of bacon.
Loved the idea of it but........needs a lot tweeking. On the plus side things, music was great. On the negative side, weil, too many to list. Let's say everything but the music. Look forward to free passess for next year's event. Sometimes being "first" is not the best thing.
Food distribution was a mess - the music was awesome
The weather was perfect, the Bacon was delicious, the Blues had everyone on their feet, & the Brews were tasty. A few vendors ran out of Bacon, but continued to serve up yummy treats. The people were friendly & festive. I plan to come back every year!
I'm sure you will receive plenty of suggestions for improvement and fewer compliments, but I had a great time and appreciate your efforts. I look forward to seeing this event evolve and grow.
Better line organization is needed, the food and beers were really good though. I will probably go again.
We were on our honeymoon, driving down the coast of CA. We had one day in Monterey, and instead of going to the aquarium, we went to this festival. After standing and waiting in line for two hours, in the hot sun, we were told all the bacon and food were GONE!!! We did not get one single bite of food. We were extremely upset and disappointed, especially since this would be our one activity in Monterey.
Please let me know if the company gave any sort of refund or compensation for this event. It's a great idea, but based on the number of tickets sold, there was clearly not enough bacon to go around...

This event felt poorly organized and was mis-advertised. The information posted about the event gave the impression that there would be bacon & brew tasting and Blues for the duration of the festival. I arrived at approximately 210pm. Upon walking through, I noticed approximately 2 vendors with bacon (1 posted a sign that they were out of bacon), everyone else was a local seller and 2 beer stations; all with long lines. There was also one large tent with an incredibly long line. It was disappointing due to the amount paid for entry and the lack of product received after standing in lines for over 3.5 hours. Once at the front of the was told "we're out" sorry! Blues lasted for approx 1.5hrs.
