About Julio Vilar Photography

As a child, Julio Vilar always wanted to photograph his family's gatherings; at every birthday party and family reunion, he'd be the one trying to hold the camera instead of posing in front of it. These days, Vilar snaps shots all over New York City, capturing the dynamic angles and giant sea monsters that fill the city skyline as well as the subtle details of subway stations and neighborhood storefronts. Families, though, still remain his favorite subject. He specializes in family portraiture and infant photography, giving parents tangible memories of their children growing up.
