Delicious wine and a beautiful property!

I found it very strange to be driving into a really nice development with a few nice homes but lots of land. You see the vineyard all around. We follow the signs and it brings us to a home. A home! There is a sign that says "tastings in back". Very strange. But sure enough, you see some chairs out there to view the vineyard and you hear the man (UGH forgot his name) giving his knowledge to the people at the bar as they do their tasting. My husband and I had to wait for about 10 min while they wrapped up. When it was our turn we had most of it alone, one on one with the gentleman. He has an accent and he invites you to indulge in his apps. YES I have never been to a wine tasting where they offer free snacks while you taste. I'm not talking oyster crackers. There were 4 different hummus, and crackers and cheese and bread. Olive oil for dipping, too. All home made. They have some nice nice wines and I would surely go back. To me, each vineyard is unique and so each is hard to rank as better than the next. I will say that Coastal is very unique and you will not experience anything like it within the Coastal Wine Tour or even the CT wine trail. (We did that last year).
