Since Ahoy New York Tours and Tasting started in 2008, the company has provided tourists an experience that combines history, culture, and food. During every tour, a witty and knowledgeable guide garnishes food facts with bits of info about the city's history and culture. Small groups follow the guide into various establishments—from tiny, family-owned shops to restaurants that have been in business for a century—biting into unique eats along the way. On the Chinatown and Little Italy tour, for instance, tour groups fill up on fresh homemade mozzarella, cannolis, dim sum, and dumplings.
