About Grantville Dead Walking Tour

With its classic brick structures, storefronts, and old water tower, the city of Grantville is more storybook than nightmare. But after AMC's hit show The Walking Dead filmed an episode in Grantville and aired it in March 2013, tourists and fans of the show began flocking to the town to explore its murky underbelly. In an effort to satisfy visitors' appetite for mystery, Mayor Jim Sells began giving tours of the town later in 2013. Today, groups on the Grantville Dead Walking Tour follow Mayor Sells into familiar settings, including a re-created apartment from the episode's most-famous scenes. They also explore other locations around town portrayed on the show, all while keeping an eye out for the one zombie who stayed in town to operate his own mobile hotdog cart.
