About Mountain Springs Trout Park

The moss-colored fishing pond at Mountain Springs Trout Park is always rippling. Sometimes, the minor currents that wrinkle its surface come from the underwater movements of shimmering fins. Other times, they're from the line of a child excited to have felt a fish's pull. An armory of fishing poles, lines, hooks, nets, and bait saves visitors the trouble of buying their own gear or climbing the mountains that worms live on top of. Nearby, the staff cleans and fillet the fish, scraping away their rose and emerald scales and packing the fish on ice to be fried, baked, or broiled at a later date.

I brought my niece here to watch her catch her first fish. We had a wonderful time. It's a quaint beautiful place right on a natural spring. The trout are plentiful and you are guaranteed to catch a nice one in a flash. They even fillet and package it up for you to take home and eat. I will definitely go again.

The fish are big and tasty. Had quite a wonderful day in a very picturesque setting. Bring a scale if you are on a budget. They charge about $6 lb for what you catch. Well worth it. But it can add up with these big fish.

Jonny is a really nice guy and very easy to talk with. I would say try the smoked trout, but then you would buy it, and there would be none left for my wife and I. (it is AMAZING!!!, but leave me a pack please)
