About Robots 4- U: Florida

Since 2007, the Robots-4-U team has been teaching children a program of STEM—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Children absorb skills and knowledge through entertaining interactions with instructors, other campers, and robot kits. The camp maintains a 16:1 student to instructor ratio, ensuring children receive the proper amount of individual attention. Campers build robot kits comprising a brain unit and sensory appendages, which replicate seeing, hearing, touching and reading minds. Once the bots are assembled, children enter their creations into racing, dancing, and battle-bot challenges.

Plan ahead, save your money because your kids are going to love it and they will want to go back for future clases. They teacher are great ! Even the director was nice and helpful . We will go back next year for sure

Problems registering. Problems getting a hold of anyone to find any information. And the actual class is taught by young-junior college students who study everything But robotics. It is a babysitting camp with K'nects and batteries.

IT WAS A SCAM. THE CAMP NEVER MATERIALIZED AND WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF ITS CANCELLATION. IT WAS SCHEDULED AT A HOTEL THAT DIDNT EVEN HAVE A CONFERNCE ROOM. STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MONIES BACK AND THIS WAS IN JUNE 2015.

It was an awful experience. When we first arrived no one greeted us. We had to ask what needed to be done and then we just figured it out ourselves. The so called supervisors were not very helpful in any regards. One was on his phone most of the time. One child spent most of the time on his tablet outside the room because he didn't understand and didn't get very much help. We were so uncomfortable we actually stayed with our son everyday. My husband complained to no avail and even complained on there FB page to have it promptly removed. For us this was a waste. I would recommend you not deal with this company.

With the week long camp being located inside a downtown hotel, through an out of state company, without knowing locals involved, I would not recommend this business to anyone with children under the age of 12.

My son had a good time, but the first day wss a mess. Also, there were 2 instructors for like 30 kids. The kits they sell on line is a scam because the kids do not use them at all. 35.00 dollars for noyhing. The kits that were used in class ofter had malfunctioning parts. My son did manage to make the best of the situation and created robots. The battle at the end of the session was a lie a s well.

I never got to send my son to camp. They sent me an email on Friday that the camp was cancelled for Monday. They gave me no notice to look for alternative place to send my son. When I called the main office they did not know if the email was valid or not. They were so disorganized, the email gave no contact information, I had to contact the main number and no one knew the camp session was cancelled. They left me scrambling and I did not appreciate that.

I'm sure that it is not the same at every location, the instructors at the Oldsmar FL location were terrible. The assistant was good but the main instructor had no idea what behavior management was or how to keep children engaged and stimulated.
