Really enjoyed this day on the Lower New River. First time white water rafting. Our guide Dawn knew the river well and knew what she was doing as a guide. My family were a little worried about the rainy weather that morning, but it was damn near magical to float through the mist and rain on the mountains. Can't wait to go back and run the Gauley with them!

River Expeditions was great. Our family of 5 (3 kids ages 20, 18 & 14) had a blast on the lower New River in early August. Hunter was our raft guide and he did a great job of keeping us safe and entertaining us.

It was fun for myself and my 12 and 15 year old children. Staff was very knowledgeable and we felt safe the entire time. Booking a trip was very simple.

This was an amazing experience for us! Our guide “Frizz” was helpful, entertaining and knowledgeable! He was just awesome and he knows everything about the River so we were totally prepared for every rapid we approached. We had a great day and can’t wait to come back here! The store is great too, we bought River shoes for $11 which I thought would be twice as much. Great company, highly recommended!
