About Char Hut - Oakland Park

Char-Hut was founded 1976 as a humble family hamburger joint at the corner of Miami Gardens Drive and NW 7th Ave. in Miami. Back then, the restaurant's goal was simple: to recreate the delicious tastes and smells of a backyard barbecue. Nearly four decades later, a few things have changed: Char-Hut now boasts locations throughout Florida, and the menu has expanded to include new favorites like truffle mac and cheese and rosemary fries. However, the original char-grilled burgers still inspire the restaurant's slogan today: "one bite says it all."

Each 1/3 pound burger starts with juicy, choice beef. After a trip to the flames gives the patty its signature char-grilled flavor, cooks customize them with 18 different toppings, including everything from pickles and onions to bacon and chili. These burgers share menu space with other classic eats, including chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, and hot dogs. Paired with onion rings, salads, or an old-fashioned milk shake, each one is the foundation of a timeless American meal.
