Fun - and "idiot proof" experience!! I was a bit worried about ~ myself and fire ~ working in tandem to create art, but the staff was super helpful!! They lead each of the class participants through the process and stepped in to assist when needed. I look forward to picking up the finished product!!

We had a group of 6 sign up for the wine or pint glass blowing class. I didn't know what to expect and was fairly nervous. However as soon as we got there we were greeted by the staff and they made us feel at ease right away by giving us a tour of the studio and a brief description of all of the kilns and machines. Then in just less than 10 minutes, they demonstrated now it all worked and made a pint glass right before our eyes. It was fascinating! After that, one-by-one we got hands-on experience and were guided through each step as we made our own creation. They were patient, thorough and very kind to all of us, even those of us who are clumsy and not crafty. All in all it was a GREAT experience and we will be picking up our glasses next week (as they have to cool properly). I definitely recommend Slow Burn Glass for an introduction in to glass blowing!

This is an excellent and very unusual experience that my wife and I would highly recommend. The beginner class is scheduled for three hours. It lasted exactly that long (to the minute!), a testament to expert planning and time-allocation by the very friendly and skilled staff. Glass-blowing is fascinating to watch but can be daunting to perform. Emily and Pablo carefully guided each participant every step of the way, demonstrating each move with each piece of equipment and making the process not only safe and accessible but a lot of fun. All six people in the class were able to make successively more intricate pieces, culminating in an actual blown drinking glass, which felt like an achievement and left everyone with a sense of accomplishment. Thanks very much to all concerned!

Great guidance! They hold the bar for you and do most of the work. Great introduction especially for those like me who were nervous!
