About Mike Dupuy Falconry

Meet Your Master Falconer: Mike Dupuy was born in Haiti, the same birthplace as John James Audubon. Mike and his family moved to the United States when he was 6 years-old. At age 9 Mike read "My Side of the Mountain," by Jean Craighead George. The story of a boy and a falcon surviving on a mountain ignited Mike's passion for the art and sport of falconry and inspired him to become a Master Falconer.It was the discovery of his passion for falconry through reading that inspires Mike to encourage others to read and explore their passions.

As a teenage boy, Mike became an apprentice of the ornithologist Dr. Heinz Meng, and started gaining scientific knowledge about wild birds. Now, many years later, Mike is a licensed Master Falconer and a professional public speaker with over 20 years of experience, taking pride in being one of the country's top falconry/bird of prey experts.
