Captain Mike Scanlan leads a team of certified captains who man the till during fishing trips. Before setting out on charters, the crew provides bait and fishing instructions for beginners to prepare them for the expedition. Their prey includes just about anything that's biting, and the captains read the subtle messages of the sea—bird movements, currents, and No Vacancy signs floating on the water—to find the best fishing spots.

We always have a great time on Miss Chris. The mates are helpful. Bathrooms are clean, and someone always catches fish. It’s my third time, and it is a charm!!!

No, we didn’t catch any fish on this trip. Some people pulled fish up, but no keepers. That’s just fishing though. As soon as lines started tangling the captain moved on, what more can you ask? We booked the first trip on the first day after the summer blackout period. The trips were still locked, so I called and John was very helpful and polite with booking and giving info. The mates too!
