This wonderful place helps save our wildlife, educates the public, has some amazing activities and events they sponsor...and is a great place to visit if you want to take the family on a safe and educational nature hike. It's never been so crowded that it feels crowded...a lot of land. The more you know about nature the more interesting the place can be. You get out of it what you want to get out of it. My kids always love to see the birdhouses (a birdhouse for just about every type of interest). A great place to leave the hectic city behind while supporting a great cause. :)

Entrance is from 12th street, not the back entrance google maps tells you.

I couldn't tell where the visitor center was. I called the office for information. They need to have better signs showing where attendees should go, i.e. direction, visitor center.

The nature center is ok, looking forward to checking out their educational programs, but the Eccles Dinosaur park that this annual pass also gets you into is awesome!

Walk down the birdhouse trail and check in at the large visitors center. They have a map and a restroom to use with the kids before heading out. There are easy hikes of various lengths that readily lend themselves to children's varying energy levels and the time available. Come for a quick picnic lunch behind the visitors center, or spend half a day walking, enjoying nature, and sitting in a shady spot. Bring a camera to get shots of deer, birds, and other wildlife. Check out the injured birds kept near the visitors center.

My kids and I love this place. We had never been there before and already used the pass twice. Lots of fun.

Fun little place. Most paths are dirt, so it's stroller friendly as long as wheels are big. Lots of animals to see, treehouses to climb, and animal holes kids can climb through. Pack a lunch and find a picnic table or bench!
