About Utah Paddle Surfing

If you're near a traversable waterway in Utah on a sunny summer day, chances are good that you'll run someone gliding along on a stand-up paddleboard. Many of these watery wayfarers travel courtesy of board's rented out by Paddleboard in Utah's extensive network of local affiliates. The outposts unlock access to some of the best boarding sites in and around Salt Lake City; The Lodge at Stillwater welcomes guests eager to explore the Jordanelle Reservoir, while Lindon Marina serves as a jumping-off point for Utah Lake's extensive wetlands. Some, such as Gonzo Boat Rentals and Tours, pull double duty, operating shops at both Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake State Marina. Others, such as On The Pond Fitness and Rentals, pair their rentals with fitness routines performed atop the waters of Willard Bay State Park. While most of the shops remain close to greater SLC, at least one encourages more far-ranging expeditions; situated near Cedar City along the state's southern border, DIG Paddlesports helps travelers access the inviting waters of Sand Hollow and Quail Creek State Parks.

It was a lot of fun. My only issue is that the life jackets were uncomfortable (update maybe?) and my boyfriend's board did not have a tie for the strap. Fortunately we were able to fix it, but the board should be checked before each use to avoid any major inconveniences. Other than that we had a blast.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They help you load up your boards and point you to the beach. Be prepared to reload the boards afterwards on your own (which isn't hard). Also, be prepared to pay for parking down by the beach.

It rained on us while we were just getting out on the water and you were kind enough to let us use the paddleboards another day free of charge. Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun and we plan on going again.

I wish they would have given a lot more instruction about putting them on the car and a quick little "how to" about the stand up paddleboarding but overall it was a fun and good experience!

New and fun idea. Great birthday gift for my girlfriend. They did over charge me for parking, but I was able to get it fixes no problem, other than the annoyance of having to do it.

Service was great. We could have stayed longer- it took some time to load the boards. But overall a very enjoyable experience.

We had a wonderful time Paddlebarding at the Great Salt Lake. It was a beautiful night and the water was glass! We went out about a mile and just floated. So Relaxing! We also stayed for the amazing sunset. I would highly recommend taking the time to do this. The people who owned the store that we rented the boards from were very nice. I am looking forward to doing it again very soon!
