While she was traveling back and forth from the Northeast to the Midwest every week, Mari Vivace found herself frustrated by her lack of makeup, or rather, her lack of makeup she needed. She actually owned enough makeup to fill a suitcase, but she didn't want to cart it all around like some sort of pageant queen who moonlights as a RuPaul impersonator. Yet, that's what she would have to do if she was ever going to have the right products to create a soft daytime and a more vibrant nighttime look. She finally realized that if she was ever going to get multipurpose makeup, she'd have to create it herself. And thus, Inspiration Cosmetics was born.

Today, Inspiration Cosmetics' products streamline the makeup process. Things like the paraben-free 3-in-1 Stick, which can be used as a blush, lipstick, and eyeshadow, and the Lip Twins cylinder, which contains both a lipstick and a matching liner, make getting ready in the morning even faster. The website offers tips for applying each product, and Inspiration Cosmetics even has a cadre of makeup artists who video chat with clients to teach them how to design the perfect look for work or a night out on the town.
