About Philly Mag Battle of the Burger

The Battle of the Burger Presented by Amstel Light is no quick gladiator montage. It's extended patty-on-patty combat—almost two weeks of it. The epic battle begins with an online poll, which narrows the starting lineup of over 50 burger spots to a core group of 20. Next, those finalists battle it out live, griddling their signature beef, chicken, pork, turkey, and veggie patties at a massive cookout. Every guest can enjoy unlimited burgers, drink unlimited Amstel Light, and vote for their favorite eats. There's plenty to do on breaks from the eating, too, from music to games to the announcement of the winning burger.
