We live in Durham and feel very fortunate to have a venue like Pickering Village nearby. It offers something year round, and also a nice place to visit with children on lazy weekends that would have otherwise been boring...instead the children find a way to keep busy there even if there isn't an event scheduled and we always find a new adventure.
Have not received my pass in the mail yet, but have heard great things about this Museum and am really looking forward to my first visit. Opens in the Spring.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My kids love it.
Staff is very friendly and patient with my kids. We got to taste some ginger cake prepared by staff with the pioneer woodstove. The museum's environment is very refreshing, love the setting and can't wait to come back for other events.

We love it here! Kids in the Village is so much fun for the children, great crafts and activities. A season pass is well worth the money. Great seasonal events too!!!
They do an amazing job at teaching life in Pioneer times. A membership includes a free kids event every Thursday which includes a game and craft. This is well worth the money.
