Great variety. Truly, a well-done, well-composed way to experience art. Try to avoid going at busy times of day...there were lots of children and people in general when I visited, which took a bit away from the experience. Otherwise, it was great!
Not your average museum. Full of amazing visionary art exhibits. Go with an open mind and be ready to have fun!
I had a lot of fun. Thank you.
Very unique museum in a charming, lovely part of Pittsburgh, the Mexican War Streets.
Cool place to go. Enjoyed it very much.
Very fun. Bought it to use for a date but took my mom instead. We had a great time. The current exhibits were playful and not too serious. Especially for someone like my mom who isn't too into the art scene. We had a great time and would recommend it.
The exhibits were interactive and interesting. We especially enjoyed the dot rooms and the "Breasts in the Press" song had some good points. We couldn't quite figure out what we were supposed to see in the room that was pitch dark and you have to sit for fifteen minutes for your eyes to adjust. We did not, however, appreciate the transgender heroin addict's "art" replication of his bedroom where he was strung out in his bed surrounded by pill bottles that actually were his used prescription bottles. And the picture of his family with the little "girl" who was undressed from the waist down in addition to everything else in that room was in our opinion very distasteful and inappropriate. It's a shame anything can be called art just because it's edgy, but it's even sadder that the Mattress Factory felt that was worthwhile and worth viewing. Do yourself a favor and avoid that room.
A very unique experience. I loved the gardens.
very interesting . . . glad I went . . . thought provoking . . . . would go again if there would be a new show or if I lived closer
We had a great time. My wife had never been before.
