If possible, pick a weekday. Went on Saturday and place was packed! to the point it was chaotic. It can be frustrating if its your first time skiing because there are not enough instructors that can give you a hand.

It is the closest skiing to us and the kids have fun whenever they go there and they are fairly accomplished boarders.

Very nice facility. 1960's Alpinesque styling of facility, beautifully kept up. Noticed staff swinging through the locker area, straightening benches during a down time in the middle of the day. Nice Ski shop, cafeteria, bar, and fireplace areas. The "Most Difficult" run would probably only merit a "Blue" on a lot of hills since the vertical at Swiss Valley is under 250ft. Lots of kids and beginners, but for the most part skiing etiquette was observed. Good place to learn.
