This place is like a tiny toy store for women! Jewels! Scarves! Perfumes well-known in Europe but hard to find here, like Molinard. Best of all, Dr. Hauschka skin care products. (Any kind of break of the price of these luxury items was a great treat.) And some of the most beautiful silk scarves I've ever seen. It seems like the whole point of this shop is to offer things never found in everyday retail stores. I have several pieces of unique jewelry from Prelude that always get admiring comments. They even carry luxury men's shaving items and Mason-Pearson hairbrushes. All out of the mainstream, but always delightful.

I went in 4 times. Each time there was a different staff member. All were friendly, helpful and offered samples of skin care products I was considering. They handled a return and let me know that things could be returned even after being opened! Quality products and great customer service! I brought my daughter and she bought something as well. We will definitely be regular customers. Having just moved to the Portsmouth area, this is a great find. I like being able to support local businesses!

I have been visiting Prelude for over 14 years. They have a very unique stock, and a little something for everyone, just about. Mostly for female. Their prices are not too high for most items, and their staff is so good about helping you find what you want, and patient while you make your decisions. Cathy Pridham
