Long lines to have your food cooked.
The organizers seemed like very nice people. They saw that various things didn't go very well, and tried to make up for it in the end with t-shirts, drinks, etc. Thank you.
The line for the food was terribly long and slow. I would really like to go to another if some things are changed, like more food options at multiple stalls, and more workers were preparing food. Also, if the licensed area could be more welcoming with tables, etc.
BEST Thai food in RI!!!!
Poorly organized and vendors offering the shellfish next to the ticket tables were not working efficiently at all. It seemed that they weren't equipped or prepared for the turn out. We weren't able to use all of our tickets that we paid for because the lines were so incredibly long. We were looking forward to having lunch, but had to instead go to a restaurant around the corner. Enjoyed the beers and the windy water view. This location was really nice...weather was pretty windy, but if it were sunny and warm, it probably would have been more enjoyable. Couldn't hear the music either. Better luck next time =)
The line was FOREVER. We gave up and gave our tickets to the people in front of us after 45 minutes and rumors that most of the food had already run out. I'd consider going next year if they figure out their logistics, but I would NOT buy tickets in advance.
The first year is always difficult, then adding the scheduling and re-scheduling. I'm sure, with each passing year, it will get better.
Poorly run and managed. Voucher could only be used at one of the food vendors, and this resulted in extremely long lines.
the festival was scheduled to be from 11-6.
we arrived at 5. despite our arriving at the last hr, the food was not planned accordingly. i stood in line for an hr and left without a bite to eat. we were informed upon arrival that there was only clamcakes and mussels left. by the time we made it close to order, the last set of musssels were given to the person directly ahead of me. seeing as i am acook myself, the clamcakes looked to be on the "DARK" side, shiowing signs that the oil needed to be changed.
in any event, a woman working the ticket booth was kind enough to attempt to smooth things out and sent me home with wine and beer for the evening. i found that that to be very hospitable of her when no one else seemed to care too much.
i would attend AGAIN because i am an avid fan of SEEfood, but i would get there earlier so i could EATfood!!!
I was one of several individuals at the end of the line that was turned away because they ran out of food. Mine you this was after waiting and hour and a half in line. One would think that the vendors could of determined that there wouldn't be enough food available to all and would of informed us of this earlier on. Instead, I waited with three starving boys only to be turned away.
Food that was severed to others I must say did look good.
It was not planned out properly. Only 1 vendor for the advertised coupon food- the line was so long ( a full 2 hrs)i exchanged it for beer and bought a lobster roll. Didn't advertise the 40$ worth of seafood was only clam cakes, chowder, steamers or mussels. They ran out of chowder so I origionally spent my 40$ on 1 steamer( 15$) and the rest clam cakes. How many clam cakes can you eat for 25$? Not a mussel fan. I realize the place was a park but if i was to wait 2 hrs in line, can't i drink a beer at least. No-stay behind the gate. Never again. Great thought and location though.
