Timbermist Farm's stately 50-acre facility sports white plank fences, verdant grounds, and an ivory stable fronted by columns. At this indoor facility, veteran instructors offer lessons to riders of all abilities, imparting knowledge gathered during nearly three decades of training, competing, and counting wooly horses just before bedtime.

The instructors show students how to steer horses in the Farm's indoor training facility, which is open year-round and heated during the winter.

What lovely people, lovely horses and a wonderful experience. My partner's face was so lit up, like a kid on Christmas. Well worth the price and the drive. I can't wait to come again.

This has been a wonderful experience for my girls. They are very sweet and patient with my 5 year old and I would genuinely recommend them to anyone who is wants to learn the basics of riding.

I had an awesome experience at Timbermist! I’m 40 years old and haven’t ridden a horse since I was 6. Libby is such a sweet instructor! I completed 6 lessons, and the pace and progressions of each lesson was PERFECT! It’s a very quiet stable, and there’s hardly anyone else around. I felt really comfortable and I couldn’t have asked for a better start to getting into horseback riding! Thanks!

My 12 year old daughter had a wonderful time learning to ride; Libby explained everything step by step. My girl always felt safe, as did I as they supply all of the riding gear including helmet!! Thanks TImbermist!

We’re a little over halfway through our lessons and I can’t say enough good things about Timbermist, Libby or the owner who is frequently hanging out watching horse races on tv from the lounge. Libby is so good with the kids, even when they’re super quiet and not very responsive (face palm). She’s upbeat, encouraging, and does an all around excellent job! Highly recommend!!
