It was a great opportunity to learn about rowing - it's so much harder than it looks! But the way they taught us was helpful and made a lot of sense. The people at SRA were wonderful and enthusiastic and if I had the time, I would have signed up for more lessons! I would recommend this adventure to anyone!

Great club. Nice equipment. Knowledgeable staff. Friendly members. The boat house is only partially complete but will be "state of the art" when done. Rowing is a big commitment so just know that if you get serious, you will need to devote time to make it work. You need to be reasonably fit to be able to use a rowing shell, the seats are small and the width is somewhat narrow so just be aware of potential physical limitations. I am a big guy (280#) and I am able to do it but I am at the upper end of what is feasible.
