About Darlena King Nutritional Consultant

"Growing up in a large Italian family," Darlena says, "food was one of the ways that our family showed love." Every day, a local farmer would deliver produce, and during the summers, Darlena and her family would visit that farm. Her grandmother assembled wholesome spreads of Mediterranean fare, and her grandfather would regularly tote armfuls of treasures he'd sourced from the farmer's market.

When Darlena's mom became a coronary care nurse, the links between love, food, and health became pronounced. She would come home with stories that proved food is sometimes the most effective medicine, and this had a powerful effect on young Darlena. Today, Darlena combines her love of food with her deep understanding of its healing and preventive qualities as a nutritional consultant.
