If you are a new diver or have any discomfort about anything, hire a personal guide. This was the first time I dove and didn't have a master diver nearby. It's drift diving, and very easy to get separated which made my dive a bit disappointing. The Captain was amazing and the guys on deck were very helpful, however once in the water you were pretty much on your own. I understand why and don't put any blame on Abernethy's, just want people to know so they don't make the same mistake I did. GET a private guide if you feel you may need one. The only complaint I do have is that the regulatror I rented was bunk. It leaked so I switched over to my alternate. When I jumped in, the mouth piece came off the hose. This was quite frightening to me which also made me a nervous the rest of the dive not knowing what might happen next. I would think they would inspect their rental equipment regularly. Especially for a sport that could potentially take your life if your equipment fails at a deep depth.

Follow their directions and arrive about an hour prior to the scheduled departure time so you can get registered and relax prior to departing for the marina.

Great dive charter (with an even better environmental mission: Protecting Sharks!). Their dive boats (double up as liveaboards) are so convenient it's almost spoiling! Customer for life!
