Love Mark Josephs..with a family of 6, its hard to please everyone....but this place doesnt disappoint!!

Very nice owner and chef, would suggest a little more training for staff. A bit rushed. Tell staff who smoke to wash hands thoroughly as there was a very distinct residual smell of cigarettes. Also, install a grooming code whereby well manicured, short fingernails are the rule, not long talon-like ones. A distinct difference between the fine dining section and pizzeria atmosphere.

no ambience - paper bunnies on the walls - did not care for the dinners - we should have ordered pizza

Loved the appetizer.....We had a young man as our waiter ...he was poor with his service...was slow in filling our request for drinks and seasonings for our pizza order...he make light of his forgetfulness ....I was also taken back by his request of us as we were seated and presented with menus ...If we were eating meat or not tonight....My wife clued me in ( being jewish) that it was lent ...and it was friday ....Then i understood ..just never had that question before upon menu presentation at a restuarant before....odd yet understandable ..but that young man should know in Manalapan you may get alot of Jewish diners that have no idea why such a question
Lastly....While i am sure the grilled pizza was exactly as advertisied ....I found it to be poor on taste and quality in the pizza rankings

It would be just another pizzeria, but the pizza was way too greasy. There were no paper napkins, so I couldn't't blot it. Nothing was bad, but not remarkable.
