It's important to tell her what your main concerns are before the appointment so she knows how to treat you. This was my first time with acupuncture and it was not painful; you don't see the needles as she's working on you so even if you are "needle shy" it shouldn't bother you. I'm very impressed; she was so friendly and sincere.
