It is worth the drive from Waikele. It is a great, but tough course.

I enjoy playing there. The scenery is incredible. The course challenges you on every hole. But it would be nice if more of the course was open to carts. It makes it hard when most of the fairways are cart path only. Most of the guys that I play with don't want to play there for that reason. Also, the workers aren't friendly. It's like they're doing us (Guests) a favor.

We immensely enjoy Ko'olau Golf Course and it is our favorite course on the island. Definitely it is a challenging risk/reward course with every play demanding total attention. Ko'olau is always extremely well groomed and maintained, yet the appreciation, care and preservation of the natural surroundings are apparent everywhere. The staff is always professional, yet warm and welcoming and are truly ambassadors. No better way to start or end your day than in the tranquility and beauty of "The Ko'olau". Drema and Steve Butler

Very challenging course, but a beautiful layout and really makes you play shots instead of just bombing a driver.

The hardest course on the island. The set up is a little unfair for short hitters and long hitters are neutered by truncated fairways. Any ball of the fairway is donated to the jungle. Wet conditions will add 6-10 strokes and about 600 yards. Leave your ego at home and just enjoy the views. Easy 3 pars and some nearly impossible 4 pars. Take advantage of the downhill par 5s. Leave the driver at home and add another hybrid or 5 wood - unless you will play the tips (gold). 18 will shock you.
