Mark Cortis wants people to feel safe and comfortable when firing a handgun, so much so that the NRA-certified instructor offers a lifetime retake option for his concealed-carry students. That's no small gesture. Since 1991, Mr. Cortis has trained thousands of people, including those who work as professional security officers, private detectives, and law-enforcement officers. He's also pretty easy to get ahold of, offering classes seven days a week.
