About Villa Zorayda

A piece of Spain separated from Europe and landed in Florida. Nestled in Saint Augustine’s historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the majestic Villa Zorayda contains architectural features that mirror those found in the Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain. Audio tours lead visitors through this restored Spanish villa’s halls and airy inner courtyard, pointing out hundreds of antiquities such as Arabic arches, glazed ceramics, bronze statues, and ancient charcoal burners. When not welcoming tours, the historic building and grounds also host weddings and private parties.

One of the best places we visited in St. Augustine! Loved the self guided tour. It was such a convenience to stop and enjoy the items at our own pace. We will definitely recommend it to everyone planning a visit to St. Augustine.

Fantastic history, lots to see and the antiques are beautiful. The gentleman that greeted us was super nice and I believe he's the one narrating the tour, which uses an audio hand held device that let's you rewind and restart the info at different places in the villa. I recommend stopping here and get your history on! Very interesting place to stop while checking out St. Augustine!
