Great place for kids. Grandchildren ages 4 and 7 loved going into the 747 cockpit and the 7 year old loved the simulator. Brought our lunch and ate at the picnic tables watching the planes take off.

A lot more interesting than I expected. So much in aviation happened in the Bay Area

Spent 2 hours there - I would recommend taking the simulated flight tour - it was a lot of fun and there are hands-on exhibits which I thoroughly enjoyed as an adult.

The museum is much larger than I thought. The displays and planes were so interesting. My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the museum.

Unless you have small children, don't go to the "Skylab" inflatable planetarium show. For us, it was a waste of time as well as the additional $5, and was uncomfortable and geared to small children. There was so much ambient noise in the museum around it that it was hard to hear and sounded like the young woman giving our program was shouting and straining her voice. I especially enjoyed learning about early aviators in the area where we live, and seeing very old models of planes. It totally changed my opinion of aviation museums in general and I would now like to go to more of them.
